Middle East Airlines flights
Middle East Airlines, also known as MEA and Air Liban, is the national airline of Lebanon based in Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport. Since its beginnings in 1965, Middle East Airlines has served the Gulf states, but added destinations in the Middle East, as well as many new destinations in Europe and North Africa after merging with Air Liban in 1965. Due to political difficulties in the region, the airline had to move its operations temporarily to Damascus Airport in 2006. Their fleet consists of three Airbus A330-200 and six Airbus A321-200 aircrafts. In January 2007, the airline became an Associate member of Skyteam sponsored for the next 15 months by Air France until the joining process is complete. Additionally the airline has code-sharing agreement with Gulf Air.
