Chinatown Street Markets (every month)

These markets take place on the first Saturday of every month and feature authentic Asian food and great street entertainment.

Gold Coast Film Festival (April)

The film festival showcases the best of Australia's cinema scene, with red carpet premiers and workshops to learn all about the crafts of filmmaking. All genres are catered for, from horror to documentaries.

International Marine Expo (May)

This is a huge family-friendly boat show celebrating the city's love of the sea. You'll see some stunning vessels, demonstrations, events and live entertainment. There are also lots of water sports demonstrations and the opportunity to try out the equipment.

Swell Sculpture Festival (September)

A free event with more than 50 installations at the stunning Currumbin Beach. The event attracts works from local, national and international sculptors.
